The Sylke Music School is a music educational service for all ages and offers quality music instruction in learning the fundamentals of music. All voice and instrumental music lessons are tailored to fit each individual student. Clients learn to apply basic music fundamentals and technique to playing and creating music of all idioms.
The Sylke Music School celebrates its Scholarship Research & Instructional Program for Everyone (SRIPE) which began in 2007 when the school moved from its first location in Cambridge to Quincy. The school also celebrates its Neuropathy Arts Therapy Program for All Ages (NATPAA) which began in 2018 at the school’s third location, also in Quincy.
The Sylke Music School’s quality individualized music lessons are given, one-to-one, year-round, to patrons of all ages. Homework assignments and practice sessions, realistic goals for development, and documentation of students’ growth are a part of each student’s program. Students are supported and guided through the selecting of musical instruments and music supplementary material for the purpose of improving their musical growth. Research is continually surveyed throughout the year about the effects of music-learning on human development, and a dissertation is currently undergoing publication about the effects of the post pandemic changes on music education.
